Busy Busy!

Oh my have we been busy the past few days! A flight that was supposed to come in Thursday was cancelled so the team members have been trickling in over the past few days and eight more come tomorrow! We will have a huge group by then!
Yesterday, the first ten of the group got here (and Betty was the only one who was able to make it in on Thursday).  We took a trip out to the children's home yesterday and got to hang out with the kids! This was the first time I was able to see some of the kids this week! We played and laughed and talked and did everything kids do!
Noe!

Blurry but this is what the older boys' cabana looks like now!

When we returned to Casa Lamb it was time for Suzy to get a hair cut! One of the men on this team is a professional hairstylist so this was the time for Suzy to get a "fancy" hair cut before her trip to Guatemala next week!  Watching this was hilarious because of all the facial expressions she was giving us! She told us she usually goes and gets a two dollar hair cut in Flor del Campo!

Later that evening we had some great fellowship with the group! We had a nice time during Compline and shared some stories from our day! Later on we pulled out the Wii and had a few games of Just Dance.  MC and I played and to no surprise I lost- big time!

Today, we had our first work day at SBV! We worked on sanding some railings and doors to prepare them for painting this week.  The team also put some screens on the windows of the kitchen and cut some boards as extra support for the toddlers' beds!

Alex had his own work to do too!
Since today is Saturday, we had a short work day and after lunch we got to hang out and play with the kids for hours! We played kickball, soccer, jump rope and all sorts of fun activities! For kickball: Mary Crawford and I were the captains of our own teams and led the children.  In one inning my team scored about ten runs! After that we stopped keeping count and played more for fun.  But of course after about half an hour of kickball the kids wanted "futbol! futbol!" so we caved.  I even played soccer for about two and a half minutes then the kids realized why I always tell them I can't play!
One of the games turned into "lasso the norteamericanos!"

Noe put on my hat and opened my umbrella all on his own! He knows how to be extra cute!
After soccer, I retreated to the shade and hung out with some of the older girls who had returned from school (school on Saturday-ugh!).   We even ventured up to the church where we found Julio playing music. We forced him into playing some songs for us on the piano but we will hear many more tomorrow at church!

We left the children's home and came home to Casa Lamb to be greeted by our newest arrivals for the medical brigade! I am so excited to have to opportunity to work on the medical mission and see other parts and people of Honduras! I can't wait to see them and see what kind of impact they will have on my life!

-Having a beautiful and blessed time!

also can't wait for these guys to get here!
