I'm Home!

      I am finally in Honduras! I arrived on Saturday afternoon after a nice surprise of getting a first class upgrade! Once we landed it took almost an hour and forty-five minutes to get through immigration- which is the longest it has ever taken me!
     Once I got my bags and everything I was greeted by Amanda! We headed straight to the CityMall which is the largest mall in Central America.  We had to pick up a few things for Casa Lamb.
     Later that afternoon, we returned to Casa Lamb and I took a little (much needed) nap.  Then Suzy came over with Sallie, Elsa, and Lucy. And the world's largest pinata- Olivia the pig! The girls and I played jump rope while singing "Cinderella, Dressed in Yellow..." We decided to go out to dinner at La Cabana and get some groceries at La Colonial.  After dinner we returned to Casa Lamb with Sallie for a little sleepover! We watched a movie and headed to bed pretty early, after a long and exciting day!

       Sunday morning Amanda, Sallie and I attended a beautiful and sweet church service at Cristo Redentor.  The people at that church are the sweetest, most kind and loving people! During the peace or "La Paz" I was greeted with loving smiles and hugs and kisses! It was such a great way to start my day and my trip! After church we headed to the airport to pick up Mary Crawford!
     Once the whole gang was together we headed out to Elsa's birthday party at the pool! We had lots of fun swimming, and eating, and of course smashing Olivia the pinata to smithereens! After  the kids gathered up all their goodies and candy we headed back to Casa Lamb.
    After a little bit of rest we decided to spend the night out at Casa Hogar in SBV! We had a wonderful time reuniting with all of our friends! I hung out with some of the older girls for a little while: listening to Justin Bieber and playing games like Temple Run.  They also enjoyed seeing all the photos on my phone from the different concerts I have been to and all of my friends and especially the ridiculous amounts of photos of the cats and dogs at home.
     Then I went up the hill to the older boys' cabana and was reunited with the sweetest boys on Earth! I actually a big hug from Yonibel! And of course Alex was trying to play it cool but he did come running which made my heart so happy! Later on Alex came running to our cabana and gave me a big hug and told me he had a surprise for me. I closed my eyes and opened my hands and what do I get? The largest and most disgusting beetle! I immediately dropped it and ran which led to Alex and Kevin chasing the three of us girls with the beetle and then eventually frogs too! I can't even count the number of times that the boys threw the frogs and beetles at me. It was not a very exciting time!
    After MC, Amanda and I had a quick dinner we went down for a fogata aka a bonfire! We sat around in a big circle and then sang some songs and played some really fun games! After the games calmed down we sat down and listened to stories from Menguin and Milton! After the fogata we headed up to bed with the power out-which made for an interesting evening. But that is life here in Honduras! And I love it!
